Lightweight, Performance Based Flow Through Heater Construction
Heliflex is Eichenauer’s platform-based flow through heater solution for hot water coffee machines, developed for manufacturers who want to reduce system weight, shorten customer waiting time, and keep beverage temperature consistent while maintaining the same “heater space” in the machine.
Compared to a traditional Thermoblock concept, Heliflex dramatically reduces weight while delivering comparable measurement results under test conditions. It also supports multiple inlet/outlet orientations and power levels to match different machine configurations.
Heliflex Flow Through Heater - Faster Preheat Time
Due to lower mass, Heliflex flow through heater heats up water faster than the Thermoblock and significantly reduces wait time for the users. In comparative cold-start testing (1500W @ 300 ml/min), Heliflex reached target temperatures faster:
- 80°C/176°F: 28 seconds Heliflex vs 66 seconds Thermoblock
- 70°C/158°F: 20 seconds Heliflex vs 36 seconds Thermoblock
Limescale & Durability Testing
Heliflex has been evaluated under defined calcification test conditions to assess long-term durability. During testing at 1400W full power with controlled water flow and peak 95°C-100°C/203°F-212°F outlet temperature, the system completed 9,906 cycles with 0.5 g of lime accumulation inside the unit.

Heliflex uses a brazed heater design combining:
- Brazed heater with aluminium tubular heater and stainless-steel water pipe for fast heat transfer
- Different inlet and outlet orientations possible / Different Power levels possible
- Special pressed tubular heater for optimized production process and better heat transfer
- First bracket design for all Heliflex variants for fuse or bimetal switch off
- Bracket on Heliflex outlet side for measurement of highest temperatures
